Bueno, ok - right, right, right! I know there's not too many Blogs in Spanglish out there so here goes. Sé que no hay muchos Blogs en el buen lenguaje contemporaneo... así que ¡ya has encontrado uno!
First off and muy importante, both my Spanish and English suffer the regular problems of spelling dificultades, but hey, I'm (for now - para ahora) still "only" human, so don't get all critical if you spot a typo. Escribir en español e inglés perfectamente no esta facil! No me tomes el pelito si fallo..!
So, WTF is this all about and why me and why Spanglish and why bother reading on? Bueeeeno, de que coño va este y porque etc. etc.?
Here's the scoop. With either Spanish or English being understood by the majority of people worldwide, if you speak one you really should learn the other. The languages are by no means tricky to learn, and they open more doors worldwide on a communication tip than any other two languages. Con la mayoria de las personas en el mundo, es una realidad que van a entender o el español o el inglés. Si hablas uno, deberías hablar el otro. O aprenderlo para maximizar tus oportunidades en el mundo, sobre todo para defenderte y comunicar.
Spanglish is highly entertaining hybrid tongue which offers hilarious, coincidental, eloquent and often downright dirty combinations. This results in much cackling and feelings of pride at being able to push/create new language phrases and structures in one of the planet's relatively younger, even if not yet "official" languages. El Spanglish es un lenguaje hibrido que ofrece combinaciones de palabras que son divertidísimas, forman casualidades, son elocuentes y muchas veces unas phrases muy vulgares. Entre los partipantes en el spanglish, la practica resulta en muchas risas y emociones de orgullo de estar "inventando/creando" un lenguaje relativamente joven, que aunque todadvia no sea "oficial".
